This road is instantly rural after you pass Hwy 7.
Left on Allder School Rd/711.
Allder School Rd is gravel/dirt.
Cross Hillsboro Rd/690
Right on Woodgrove Rd/719
Right turn to stay on 719/Stony Point Rd
Right on 9/Charles Town Pike more traffic in Hillsboro
Left on Mountain Rd/690
Mountain Rd is the best part of this ride. Low-traffic road, no paint lines, fairly flat, nice views, mix of sun and shade.
Left, then quick right to stay on Mountain Rd/690
Left on Dutchman's Creek/674 (gravel)
Dutchman's Creek Rd is gravel/dirt.
Right turn on Tollhouse Rd., also dirt/gravel.
Left on Berlin Turnpike/287--not great to ride on, but OK going downhill towards the river.
cross Potomac
good place to stop for food/water
Right turn in traffic circle. It doesn't matter much whether you take the first or second street.
Right on C&O Canal towpath to go up Potomac
optional switch to paved road somewhere around here.
Right turn, up steep hill
Left on Shepherdstown Pike/34 to cross river
end point is boat ramp, also a pretty good place to cool off in the stream or river.
