Petersham

Petersham Bike Bus is not currently running, but it is still an excellent route. Cnr York Cres and Crystal St.

Stanmore

Take path adjacent rail line to Gordon Cres

On right take the ramp onto footpath to avoid bus stop further up.

Stanmore

Slow down, watch out for Pedestrians running for the lights. Usually not too busy. Bike Bus leaves here at 8:05am.

Take the path through Stanmore Reserve

Stanmore

Take the lane, stop on road at roundabout, turn right when traffic clear, then turn left into Bedford Street.

Newtown

Left into Bedford.

Be aware of rat running drivers and stay away from car doors. Generally low traffic here.

Lookout for cars turning the corner from or into Denison Street. Go up the ramp into Newtown Bridge Plaza, opp Train Station Entrance.

Newtown

Bike Bus departs Newtown at 810am. Ride along footpath to Eliza Street. Watch for Peds in this narrow section.

Cross at Ped lights or from the corner of Eliza Street into Wilson Street. If cars parked here, take the lane and let the cars wait behind as most want to turn right at Erskineville Rd.

Enter oneway section of Wilson Street. Let cars pass here if they are impatient.

Watch for vehicles at the small roundabout. Take it slow on the steeper down hill section towards Burren St.

Take the lane when approaching Burren St Roundabout and slow down to almost standstill or stop.

Avoid car doors. Let cars overtake, but don't let yourself be squeezed to the left.

Redfern

Take the Lane as approaching roundabout at Golden Grove St.

That was the "Bike Highway". Look out for cars from Ivy St. Cross into street closure on right hand side of road and into little Eveleigh.

There is a green contra-flow lane here. Use it esp is cars coming towards you.

Redfern

Stop at Lawson. When peds and cars are clear turn right. Take a lane in Lawson and wait behind cars, or move to the front is legally allowed. Footpath is an option but not legal.

Stop at traffic lights. Take the lane and continue straight ahead.

Move from lane to Ped crossing and onto footpath then into Wells Street.

Watch right for cars. Rarely see them but its a blind intersection.

Turn left into George. Don't take the car door lane unless you like hitting car doors and glass in your tires. Ride the white line or take a lane. A few moving cars here.

Sydney

Stop at lights in Right Turning Lane. You will trigger the lights to change. Optional to cross to ped crossing on right and press button. On green light join peds into PA Park.

If lots of peds, take it slow down the hill and give plently of warning with bell or horn.

Sydney

Slow or Stop. Join Chalmers St. Take a lane. If you can't handle slow moving cars, take the footpath.

Stop at lights if necessary. Take sharp left into bus entrance in Eddy Ave.

Exit road by joining Ped crossing on right side of bus area. If busy, walk across with peds the left into Belmore Park.

Cross with peds and join Pitt Street. Watch for trams and tram tracks.

Not much traffic oneway up gentle hill on Pitt into CBD. Take a lane the whole way to Park Street.

Take the right turning lane and turn right into the on road cycle path on Park St .

When crossing Elizabeth join footpath to Hyde Park. Watch out for low level bricks around memorial thingy.

Possible end of Bike Bus. Extension towards Circular Quay continues on.

Cross St James Rd at Ped lights.

Cross again to left side of Macquarie St. Take a lane all the way to Albert St.

Left into Albert.

Take the right lane. Traffic is slow.

End at Quay.
