Start from the overlook parking lot. It costs $5 per person to enter the park.. Drive all the way to the overlook to start.

Turn around here. If you had a headwind to here then you're treated to a tailwind on return. You're about a few miles from Johnson City, and if you wanted to cruise west on 290 you could probably turn this into a loop returning via Yaeger Creek Rd, or extending out to 281 then north and returning via 2766.
