The way points of this bicycle route:

Palos Verdes Estates

Meet time is 6am sharp every Tuesday and Thursday in the Malaga Cove Plaza parking lot. Head South from the parking lot toward Via Corta

Turn left on Via Corta

Turn left on PV Drive West

By now everyone is almost warmed up, and the pace accelerates

Rancho Palos Verdes

As you enter Rancho Palos Verdes, the speed limit increases from 35mph to 45 mph, but that is never a problem because you now have a real bike lane

The view from here during the sunrise can be breathtaking.

This is where you enter the Portuguese Bend landslide area. The road narrows and the surface can be bumpy.

Turn left on PV Drive East

The switchbacks climb starts here.

Marymount College Parking lot. This is a regroup point.

A quick descent down PV Drive East starts about here. This is the only stretch where the morning commuter traffic can get in the way, but we can match the speed limit of 35mph most of the way.

A brief pause in the descent starts here. In fact, we have to climb a bit.

The PV Drive East descent resumes here. Watch out for the drivers who haven't had enough coffee yet.

Rolling Hills Estates

Turn left on PV Drive North

There are still commuters on PV Drive North, but the bike lane is back.

Palos Verdes Estates

Done with PV Drive

There is often water on the surface of this sharp right curve.

This here is the trickiest curve along the entire route.

Palos Verdes Estates

You are back in the Malaga Cove Plaza parking lot. The ride is over. Time to relax over some coffee.
