The way points of this bicycle route:
12th century castle. Restaurant on road tow. Aigne. Ride uphill & back down to highway; follow signs to Azillanet.
Return to Oupia the way you started out.
Follow signs for Olonzac. In about 2 km., turn left at sign for Beaufort.
At main intersection, turn right, following signs for Fauzan. Lots of climbing for the next several km.
Good restaurant here, the Chabbert, open only at noon and not during the vendanges (grape harvest). At top of hill, keep to main road as it makes a sharp curve to the right, on the D182 to St Julien-de-Molières. Climb is steeper here, but the views are good.
Road ends at a t-junction. If carrying on to Ferrals-les-Montagnes, turn right. (Or you can skip the extra leg by turning left).
Notice a big change in vegetation & in architecture; this is mountain country. Inexpensive little restaurant. Return the way you came to the intersection below St Julie-de-Molières.
Follow signs to La Livinière. Lovely descent for several km, with one brief exception, at Calamiac. (You could make a detour via Camplong & Félines-Minervois.)
Turn left shortly after entering village. passing small café on right, in square by fountain. Follow main road downhill to little roundabout by church. Turn left on D168 to Siran.
Café with shady outdoor seating on main square near church. Light lunches possible. 2 restaurants as well. Otherwise, no need to go into Siran. Continue on D168 toward Cesseras.
Excellent wine produced here. Attractive buildings. Continue straight, to Cesseras.
