The way points of this bicycle route:
Follow path along Carling westbound.
Use bike path parallel to Carling and then shoulder to March Rd.
March Road is busy. Stay well over on shoulder.
West on Old Carp Road
Go NW. Road is paved most of the way with some hard-packed gravel.
Really only a secondary road. Watch traffic. Moderate.
Beware of other gravel road in the area. Go over the crest of the hill to find Stonecrest.
Cost is about $2.50 for cyclist. Ferry runs continuously.
Some food services here. Basic snack bar, grocery.
Busy road at times.
PPJ Cyclopark trail is along old rail bed. Railway not marked in entirety for full length. Google Earth coverage is low resolution part of the way.

Follow rail bed trail NW.
Services here. Junction Cafe and small park are beside trail. Good place to stop.

Alternate route to Ontario border is by Rang East. Longer but more sedate.
Caution at this possibly busy intersection. Shoulder of road is gravel but safer into Pembroke.
