The way points of this bicycle route:

Mentone

Here is where the Eastern end of the Rail ROW intersects the SART

A good Trail treatment and signal crossing is needed at SR38.

Grade Separated Crossing needed at N. Wabash Ave & Colton intersection. There is a drainage issue to the West behind the trailer park which could be mitigated at the same time.

Grade separated crossing at Dearborn

Grade Separated Crossing at Judson (arterial)

Look into culdesacing Grove and Cook with ped/bike/emergency vehicle trail crossing only.

Look into culdesacing Grove and Cook with ped/bike/emergency vehicle trail crossing only.

Grade Separated Crossing at University ST

Sk8Park interconnection look at jointly going after construction grant monies.

Possible spur to new RHS Stadium so that people can take the OBT to games and aleviate parking issues.

Underpass on Church St following Zanja to Downtown.

Arrive Downtown

Some sort of Multimodal TOD facility is needed here. Must slow car traffic and allow for safe crossings.

Eureka Street now has a growing traffic volume, a creative treatment if this rail with trail portion will be challenging.

The intersection of Texas and hookup with existing trail in Jenny Davis park needs a creative solution

Integrate trail with New York Street closure for easy crossing. Switch from South Bank to North Bank

Tunnel beneath Tennessee St (arterial) Would also allow Storm flow capacity increase beneath roadway.

This is a great portion of new trail, the buildings open toward the trail, there are trees planted next to it. Only thing is pavement could be 2 feet wider on both lanes.

Tunnel beneath Alabama St (arterial) there is plenty of easement space to do so nicely, would improve storm flow capacity beneath roadway.

This site put in a great trail but has a giant barren wall adjacent to it. removing the wall and planting trees would make it more like the trail section East of Alabama.

It is critical an underpass is planned and built when California St and Redlands Blvd intersection is realigned. An underpass here is imperative.

Here is where the OBT could link up with Loma Linda's powerline trail. there is an abandoned bridge there and an underpass beneath I-10 just to the west. Perhaps this would be a good place for the trail to cross the railroad tracks too.

Close attention to the development project here needs to be paid so that the OBT benefits from the closure of Lugonia.

Here is a good junction point for the East Valley corridor trail that goes over to California Street. Special care must be taken at this intersection to insure right turning truck drivers to not hit trail users. A bridge here would be very nice.

Meetup with SART at West end of town!
