The way points of this bicycle route:
Start at Walmart. this is a simple loop around the northern end of Lake Lavon and northern Rockwall county. There are not very many hills on this route.
Use extreme care when crossing the short bridge over the river between the two lakes. There is no shoulder on the bridge so watch for traffic before you get onto it.
Big Daddy's BBQ is a favorite with cyclists riding in the area.
There is a convenence store just up Hwy 78 from here if you like. this is the last opportunity for services before you get back to Rockwall.
Hwy 66 can have some fast moving traffic and there is no shoulder here. As you turn onto the road, you head up a steep hill so be watchful.
