Lunch stop. An ideal campsite with open grassy area next to the hall, toilets, water tank and table

Left turn onto Tabberabbera Rd

Sandy Creek campsite

Bush camp, in a small area. Currently (2009) dry creek with a couple of large waterholes downstream.

Ridgetop on Tabberabbera Rd

Right turn onto Morris Peak Track

Junction with Baldhead Road

Good views to Mt Taylor and Bairnesdale

Descent through forest for 4 kms

Marthavale Track

Take right fork downhill. Steep descent for first 1.5 kms

Marthavale Hut

Restored timber 3 room hut <http://users.bigpond.net.au/ronshirl/marthavale.htm>. Good water from river (upstream) and plenty of space. No toilet.

Baldhead Rd

Highest point on the tour, long gradual descents ahead.

Howitt Spur Track turnoff

Good lunch spot

Beginning of steep descent

Left fork onto Sisters Track

Deptford campsite

Good toilets, water from river, table but limited flat area to camp.
