The way points of this bicycle route:
Enter bike path at Bannon Creek park. Roll past dog park towards W. El Camino ave.
Exit bike path and cross W. El Camino. Watch for turning traffic.
Left turn continues down Natomas Park Drive
Cross Garden Highway into Discovery Park entrance.
Wave to park rangers as you roll past entrance booth.
Take the Discovery park bridge across the American river.
Re-enter bike path after bridge - Right turn immediately after the bridge.
Exit American River bike trail at water intake park via parking lot.
Right turn, then cross the I street bridge. Look for pedestrians on narrow bike/walkway or ride the asphalt instead.
Left turn at 3rd street - 1st light at base of hill after the bridge crossing.
Hang a right turn onto W. Capitol Ave. Bike lane all the way to the Causeway from here.
Look for smallish sign to enter bike route to Davis. Right turn off W Capitol Ave.
Path leads to Causeway bike path taking you across the Yolo Bypass into Davis.
Exit Causeway bike path at opening on the right.
Do not cross tracks. Follow curve down hill to the left.
Merge onto Road 32A
Stay left of train tracks to enter bike trail that heads into town. No traffic until you get to downtown Davis! Ride past cars stuck in traffic on I-80.
Bike trail ends at Olive Drive. Continue down Olive Drive to Richards Blvd.
Rt. turn at Richards Blvd. stoplight, under train tracks and into town
Left turn on 1st street towards campus
Left turn into driveway/bike path takes you off the main road
