The way points of this bicycle route:
Tube barrier at bottom of path
Pedestrian crossing, walk here.
Next two crossings are shared so you can ride across. Then we come to.... another pedestrian crossing so back to walking.
Walk here
Long delay at lights, beter of looping up Gibbon Rd and back down to join the slip road instead of the shared path.
Another long wait at the lights. Shared crossing - riding OK.
Conrete path down here. 50 mtr down hill sections with flat sections in between.
Path goes over bridge then curves left to travel under the road bridge.
Attractive area to "deposit" used booze bottles. Usually in lots of small pieces.
Back onto another slip road.
Shared crossing, ride here.
Caution here for roadie tyres. Metal pit access plate takes up the full outside part of the corner and the expansion gaps in the concrete are just the right width to drop a tyre into.
Shared path from here to Cumberland Highway / Old Windsor Road intersection.
Uncontrolled slip road, pedestrian crossing, walk only
Traffic lights also have pedestrian only crossing so walk only
Another uncontrolled slip road. Pedestrian crossing only. NOTE When travelling in the opposite direction, the view to traffic approching this crossing is very poor. Sheilded by the pillar for the T-Way overpass.
Shared path. Need to be aware of driveway access along this stretch. Some drivers just don't look.
Watch out here, large sunken "repair" around fire hydrant - been like that for at least 3 months (Oct 09). Also vehicles parked on the shared path most days.
Better off using the road, it's a 40kph area.
Browns' cows tend to use the bicycle only path in preference to the much narrower pedestrian only path.
