The way points of this bicycle route:
Very gentle rise to the train line - nice warm up, plenty of pretty, well maintained houses from 1900-1930.
Railway Terrace. The bridge at Third Ave is a nightmare during peak hour, so I cross onto the bike path at Mt Lawley train station
Cross over at the train station - slippery when wet.
Now on the bike path - this bit goes very quickly. Not much to see, but plenty of other commuters chugging along.
Over the interesting shared bridge at Claisebrook station and then you're practically in town.
This route is much longer than I thought it was! But there's no way I'm tackling North St, William St and the Horseshoe Bridge in rush hour traffic.
