Energy Park Drive becomes W Front Avenue at Lexington Pkwy - continues directly east
Cross Como Ave and continue
Western Ave - turn right (south)
Ramsey Street - turn left (east)
Smith Ave N - angle to left
Chestnut St - turn right (southeast)
Shepard Road - cross and turn left on trail along river
Shepard Rd becomes Warner Rd and continues along river
Exit Warner Rd after veering away from river to maintenance road/trail header
Trail runs along Hwy 10/61
Tunnel underneath Hwy 10/61
After tunnel head southeast on frontage road - Point Douglas Road S
Follow Trail adjacent to Hwy when frontage veers hard left. (Point Douglas Road becomes Highwood Ave - do not follow)
Continue next to Hwy until trail exits at a dead end circle
dead end circle - Point Douglas Road begins again. Continue
Carver Avenue - turn left (east)
Tunnel under 494 - then turn right on Sterling Ave
Sterling Ave - turn right (south)
Bailey Road - turn left (east) Then immediate right onto Military road
Military Road - veer right (southeast)
cross Keats Ave
Lamar Ave S - turn right (south)
Turn/veer left to stay on Lamar Ave S
Lamar Ave becomes Lehigh Road S
CR95 (Townline/Manning) - turn right (south) then take next immediate left
110th St S - turn left (east)
122nd St S - turn left (east)
St Croix Trail S - turn right (south)
Intersect with Hwy 10. If there is a path along the closest side, take it. If not cross and ride on shoulder (only about 1/3 mile)
cross back over hwy into parking lot entrance - take trail sidewalk along oncoming side of hwy 10

Oak Forest Drive - turn right (east) Go across Hwy 35
Cross Oak Street and look for trail entrance at right
Start of Lacrosse River State Trail
Trail goes under I90
Exit trail turn left - Enterprise Ave/ CRSS This goes to hotel

Branch off to east, following Sugar River State Trail

W Keesey Rd - turn right (east)

W Hafeman Rd - turn left (east)
Hafeman Rd combines with Hwy 213 (turn/veer right) contininue due east on 213
W Plymouth Church Road - turn left (this will continue east) intersection right when 213 heads south
S Cty Rd D - turn right (south) turn left to go to town of Afton - just north. VERY small town
W BR Townline Road - turn left (east)

S Northrup Rd - turn right (south)
pass Cty P / Cty J - go stright south
E Tighe Rd - turn left (east)
Walworth Street - turn right (south)
Martin Street - turn right (south) go one block
Grace Street - turn left (east)
Park Ave - turn right (south)
Park Ave becomes Old Factory Road and follows adjacent RR tracks
State Line Road - turn left (east) continue east about 15 mi to Hebron This road is the WI/IL border

State Line Road bends slight south and becomes Nichols Road
Hebron Road - turn Left (east)
To continue on: Main Street / Hwy 47 - turn left, then take immediate right To eat or go downtown, turn right on Main St (47)
Immediate right on Mead Ave
Mead Ave turns right and becomes Church Street Trail just ahead on left
Hebron Trail Head just north of Maple Ave (173) Take trail for approx 4.5 mi
Trail appears to end at Keystone Road, however there is definitely a connection to McHenry Prarie Trail. Look for this and follow McHenry south. If not, exit trail and go north on Keystone. Turn right on Hwy B / Main St. head east, then go north (left) on block to Hwy H and turn right. Look for trail crossing.

Trail becomes asphault somewhere near this point
Trail turns hard right by baseball diamond

Turn right at 'busy road (Elm St / 120) and go up to next intersection to cross
Cross Elm St - should be well marked ped crossing
After crossing, trail winds through residential, then follows RR tracks and is well marked for next several miles
Hillside Road has bathrooms
Trail enters into woods just after Hillside Rd
Trail exits onto Loraine Dr, continue due south
E Terra Cotta Ave (176) - turn right (west), (take just slight jog to right and continue south on next road)
Glenn Ave - turn left (south)
fork left onto E Prairie St (southeast)
East St - turn/veer right (south)
E Crystal Lake Ave - turn right (west) , path on closest side of street
cross old RR tracks and turn left after crossing S Main St
S Main Street - turn left (south)
trail follows RR tracks and Main street due south
Vulcan Lakes on the left. Trail bathroom and drink ahead on right - Bershire Dr / 3 Oaks Rd
At Virginia Rd, cross Main St to Left, then cross Virginia (trail will continue south along east side of Main St)
After crossing Virginia, trail veers south on east side of Pyott Rd (was main st)
trail takes hard left then hard right

Trail comes to Rt 31 (south Main St) and Huntington Dr. Cross 31 at this intersection - Should go between a furniture store and a Mobil gas station

another trail intersects from right at Richardson Dr - just continue south along river

Cross Lawrence Ave/Kimball St at N Grove Ave, then head back towards river

CRITICAL just after small bridge over river inlet -turn/fork right on Fox River Trail (trail straight ahead Prairie Path) Fox River trail heads back westerly towards river

Bridge under State Street - Trail "cloverleafs" after going under bridge, so you end up crossing the river on this bridge. Trail continues down other sire of river
N Water Street - turn left (south) First left after crossing bridge
enter parking lot to left
IMPORTANT - Trail Fork - go to left (cross the river)
After crossing bridge, trail goes through residential area and then continues to follow east side of Fox River
At Villa Maria Rd, follow trail straight along Weber Drive
trail right next to river through about 1 mile of woods - (Norris Nature Preserve)
trail takes hard left at golf course
trail exits onto N 3rd Ave - turn right and continue south
North Ave - turn right (west) Just go one block, then continue south on 2nd Ave
2nd Ave - turn left (south) continue on 2nd until you come to the river.
cross Main street (64)
2nd Ave meets river at Ohio Ave and a pedestrian bridge (do NOT cross bridge) Cross street and continue south along river
trail turns hard left away from river - cross Riverside Ave (25). Trail will just go out and around a bit, then come back to river
trail crosses back across Riverside Ave (25)
Another trail enters from the east - just continue south along the river.
trail becomes sidewalk along (25) for short distance
After Jefferson Street, Turn right towards river. Also note there are two bike shops on E State Street (the bridge approx one block ahead) Mill Race Cyclery and Geneva Cycle Shop
Old Mill Park - trail should go under hwy bridge and cross onto an island!
cross another bridge off of island and go under RR/ped? bridge. Trail continues south along river
pass a ped bridge that goes across river out to an island
Fabian Pkwy overpass
turn right towards river, but do not cross bridge. Continue south along east side of river
go under Wilson St overpass
After Wilson St, there will be a big island. You essentially go past the island, then come kindof circle back, taking bridges to cross the river (using the island)
LOOK for island on right, you will cross the river via this island
take fork to right, then immediate right to cross the river
Once across the river, turn left (south) and follow the river trail along West side now... May have to cut through some parking lots
Fox river trail
another trail enters in from right - just continue south
View of falls, then underneath State Street (IL 56)
I88 overpass
Trail will come very close to a dead end road - this is N River Street. Get on this road and turn right before the next round about/parking area. Turn northwest onto Elm Street
Elm Street -turn right
One block later, cross N Lake St (IL 31), Elm street veers due west and becomes W Park Ave
N Locust Street - turn left (south)
Woodlawn Ave - turn right (southwest)
Ridgeway Ave - turn right, then immediate left into parking lot. Look for trail at back (woodlawn ends). Take trail southeast towards river (should go through 3 tunnels right away, then cross river)
TUNNEL
After crossing river, turn right and take trail along east side of river.
Ride onto island
Exit trail to hotel - Turn left at Boulder Hill Pass. Look for Marathon Gas Station on Corner
Saugatuck Rd - Turn left (east)
Springdale Road- turn right (south)
Barnaby Rd - turn left (east)
Douglas Road - turn right (this is bigger/busier frontage type road) hotel ahead on left)
