bear Left onto sidewalk to the Mid-Hudson Bridge
Sidewalk goes east across the Hudson River to Poughkeepsie. Sidewalk is on the north side of the bridge, separate from the motor vehicle roadway. Sidewalk is not wide. I remember a sign advising bicyclists to walk.
careful crossing entrance/exit ramps for rt 9 -- best to walk
after crossing both exit-entrance ramps, continue just a little farther going East on grass or sidewalk alongside the north side of (but not on) the bridge highway
Left - onto a sidewalk going flat a short ways aiming North to a street
continue Straight on Clover St (going north), to its end
alternate: to go to the Poughkeepsie train station: instead turn Left on Main St down hill, first Right on Davies Place, soon sharp Left down underneath highway to train station upper entrance
alternate: to visit Poughkeepsie waterfront, turn Left down hill
traffic light at Main St -- continue Straight across.
