The way points of this bicycle route:

West Menlo Neighborhoods exploration

Begin mostly-rural portion on high-speed roads.

Palo Alto

Junipero Serra becomes Foothill Expwy and speed limit increases. Use caution.

This section of Arastradero has varying pavement quality and bike accommodation. There is a paved path off to the side for part of the route that you can also use to avoid sharing the narrow road.

Steep hills up ahead.

Descent to a stop sign. Be cautious.

More hills ahead.

Portola Valley

Stop at the stop sign up ahead -- it's patrolled!

Continue straight on Sand Hill (the road names are confusing here).

Woodside

Stop at the two stop signs at and on Woodside.

Steep hill up ahead, then a long, curvy descent down Edgewood.

San Carlos

Redwood City

Alameda is narrow through some of Redwood City.

Woodside

Back in Woodside.

Atherton

Venture into the land of mansions. Narrow roads in Atherton.

Menlo Park

Back in Menlo. Note poor pavement quality on Glenwood past Laurel.
