The way points of this bicycle route:
Suitable for mountain bikes or hybrids only in the mid section. Not suitable for road bikes. The track is not well identified in the first several kms at time of writing (Oct 09). Start off on an extension of the excellent Riesling Trail at Clare and then turn off this trail onto Angas Court Rd. From this point there are some signs as you go through farm gates (4 off). The track deteriorates after the second gate into a roughly scraped paddock but is OK in fine weather. The track would be unpleasant in wet weather.

Right on Angas Court Rd
Straight onto Old Burra Rd
Veer right onto Old Burra Rd track. The track starts to deteriorate from this point.
Cross Swamp Rd
Cross over Road 137
Cross Gum Creek Rd (paved)
Cross Iron Mine Rd onto Manilla Rd. The track improves again as you are now on gravel roads.
Manilla Rd becomes Old Hanson Rd
Left on Copperhead St and into Burra on paved road. The Mawson trail actually continues a different route along Pistol Club Rd.
Arrive in Burra's main street the Barrier Hwy (A32)
