There is a Trek vending machine here with supplies. Plus an entire bike shop (Machinery Row) with rentals.
Monona Terrace. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Lots of fishing, conference-goers. Neat in the winter.
My the lake was smelly and deathly today.
Here, an underpass. There are two entries to the same path...for a short few km's they go on opposite sides of Wingra Creek.
Light.
There is a U.S. Post Office here.
Intersection, light.
It's all trail, so far!
Begin on-road bike path.

You can see many of the UW buildings from here across the lake.
There are homes here!
Saw a bunch of wild turkeys here.
On Longenecker, the visitor's center.
Begin on-road. Hills and curves make this one of the more dangerous for cars speeding
Overpass. Intersection with lights.
Large intersection with lights. Bike lane.
Blacktop is fresh.
No bike lane, but not heavily trafficked.
Super cute farmland. Big cottonwood trees shedding.
Rolling hills. None steep.
Teeny, cute town ahead. Depending upon day, time and season: Cheese Ice Cream Cafes Art Galleries
Prairie Moraine (State) Park Ice Age Drumlin Scenic Trail (foot paths and maybe off-road bike, only) There is a dog exercise area here, too.
This was my exploring/finding out that I cannot get to the trail I need from here...
Neat old buildings down this stretch. Rolling hills.

On Kimball, a gas station with picnic bench, convenience store and even a pay phone.
Underpass.
Back in the country.
Pick up the Capitol City Trail which crosses here at Dunn's Marsh.
Turn left into the Willy Street Co-op to fill up on goodies.
