Camping night 1. They keep a couple of sites free for bikes and late arrivals.
Buckhorn State Park, camping night 2
Treat yourself to a motel for night 3!
Very pleasant camping for night 4
Nearly empty campground with minimal facilities for night 5. Hwy 70 is the worst road of the entire trip -- busy and narrow.
County GG is a dream. Smooth road, rolling hills through a forest, no traffic.
Wonderful hamburger restaurant.
Camping for night 6. Steep climb up to campsite, too tired to tour the park.
After a short ride, hotel in Ashland for night 7. Long walk along the waterfront felt good. Plenty of good restaurants to pick from.
Final night 8 camping in beautiful, FLAT state park. Next day, bike back to Bayfield to meet friends and get a car ride back to Madison.
