Macclesfield and Teggs Nose Circuit Ride

The way points of this bicycle route:

Macclesfield

Start at the Macclesfield end of the Middlewood Way on Gas Road. Cross over the junction towards Buxton on the A537.

Corss over Macclesfield Canal

Bear right onto Buxton Old Road (be careful - this is a tricky tuen as A537 is busy).

Long climb up Buxton Old Road.

Teggs Nose Country Park

Teggs Nose car park. Nice views down to Macclesfield Forest. Often an ice cream van here.

Saddlers Lane -quite steep with very uneven surface at the top. best suited to mountain bikes - be careful.

stone surfaced path - be careful.

Junction with Crokkedyard Rd.

Teggs Nose Reservoir

Langley

Nice village with pubs.

Junction with Ridge Hill and Jarman

Junction with Hall Lane

Cross the canal agin.

Junction with A537

Macclesfield

Back at start point.
