The way points of this bicycle route:
Join the Springwater trail
Leave the springwater trail, head north on 92nd Ave
Leave the i205 path, start heading east on Marine Dr.
Marine Drive goes all wonky in about 300 feet.
If you want, this is a good place to hop up onto the (jointed concrete) Marine Drive bicycle path
Over the Burlington's Port of Portland yard.
Kelley Point and lunch, then get on the bike and head on home.
If you dodge off onto the sidewalk here, there's a deceptively tempting path that wants to send you south into North Portland. If you don't want to do that, you can turn around and head back to Marine Drive.
Oh, joy, we're back at i5 and the Marine Drive spaghetti junction.
Swerve south and get onto the Marine Drive bicycle path, for miles of grade-separated headwinds.
This is a good time to (slowly) head east towards Troutdale
The GPS hiccupped here; I did *not* just cyclocross my Xtracycle out into the mighty Columbia at this point.
End of the Marine Drive bicycle path, just as the sun started plummeting towards the horizon and reminded me to bolt for home.
Turn back onto the i205 path and start plodding up the hill.
Turn back onto the Springwater trail and bolt for home
When heading home, I like to ride on Johnson Creek Blvd because there are (a) no stopsigns and (b) it's paved instead of chipsealed.
Done with Johnson Creek Blvd -- back onto the Springwater trail to transit Tideman Johnson Park
Exit the Springwater trail at SE 19th, then take Linn up to 17th and head towards home
And we're *done* for the day. Time for a cup of tea!
