The way points of this bicycle route:
Starbucks at Reston Town Center is a good meeting place.
Get on the W&OD.
This is the NVRPA Parking Lot where others can meet. Allow 30:00 from S'Bucks in RTC to prepare for the usual delays of meeting, finishing coffee, gabbing, etc.
Get off the W&OD by using the sidewalks on the right. There may be a few options. You need to head out on Ashburn Village Parkway to the right with respect to your direction on the W&OD.
Cross 7 at this light.
Turn Right on River Creek Pkwy
Changes into Edwards Ferry.
There is a S'Bucks in the shopping center if you need water or pit stop.
The Local Coffee Shop is next to the Tally Ho Movies. They have bathrooms, water, and coffee. Nice Mom and Pop Shop.
Left on Catoctin.
Sprint Point -- Only on the way home. The start of the bridge is where Brown Jersey Points are won.
Left on E. Colonial (7)
Right on N 21st St
Right on 9
Left on Mountain. Don't let the name fool you; it's very flat.
The 7-11 in Lovettsville is your only easy refueling stop. No bathrooms.
As you leave Waterford, the false flat on Old Waterford Road is going to hurt for about 5-7:00 minutes.
Get back on Dry Mill and don't forget the sprint point at the end at the start of the bridge.
Get back on the W&OD at the car wash and cruise home.
Finish at S'Bucks in RTC.
