You can actually go through and out of the Sandcastle parking lot instead of back tracking to Amity
If exit the Sandcastle Parking Lot from the back end you can avoid these roads if you go along the tracks for about a block to where the trail dead ends. The trail should be completed by October 08
Here is another place to enter the trail if you want to avoid traffic
Stay on the bike bridge and the Jail Trail instead of 2nd Ave
