Home of artist Paul Azéma. Interesting lion fountain. Head uphill through village, following signs for Minerve.

Minerve

One of France's most picturesque villages. Important in the history of the Cathars. Several restaurants & cafés. Find parking lot above village & follow signs to Le Bouis & Boisset. Steep climb most of the way to Boisset.

Le Bouis (also Le Bouys)

Site of a ferme-auberge, serving home-cooked meals. Best to reserve ahead of time.

About 2 km. after Le Bouis, road forks; follow signs for Boisset.

Stop to walk around church & look at old cemetery - & the view!

Rieussec

No need to go into Rieussec. Turn right onto D907 (caution - more traffic). Mostly downhill for several km, to La Caunette.

La Caunette

No need to go through La Caunette. Attractive village, has a café offering simple lunches. At bottom of hill, turn left, following signs for Aigues-Vives & Narbonne.

At top of hill, turn right onto D177 to Aigne.

Aigne

1000 year old circulade town; church in centre of former walled village; 3 resident artists & sculptors. A very good restaurant, Lo Cagarol. Continue through Aigne, following signs for Olonzac.
