Take US80 to Horseshoe Bar exit, West to dead end parking lot. Have a coffee and a muffin at the Wild Chicken Coffee shop before heading out.

Left on Webb

Right on King

Left on Swetzer

Cruise past a few warehouses to the edge of town.

Ah, the countryside!

Right on English Colony

Becomes Rock Srpings Road

Through Penryn, past Quarry Park

Jog Left to stay on Rock Springs

Left on Auburn Folsom

Right on Newcastle

Sharp Right on Shirland Tract

Just past bucolic feed store - Green Acres!

Left on Shady Run

Right on South Ridge

Left on Auburn Folsom

Right on Indian Hill

Right on Newcastle

Over Freeway

Newcastle Produce

Superb lunch to be had here.

Down the hill on Cypress

Right on Old State Highway

Right on Taylor

Left on Ridge Road

Here begins the old Ophir Ride

Right on Gold Hill

Right on Chili Hill

Pretty good little climb here

Bear Left on Crater Hill

Remember Judge Crater? Neither do I.

Left on Wise

Water break at Fire Station

Straight; Wise becomes Baxter Grade

Right on Mount Vernon

Right on Mt. Vernon

Right on Bald Hill

Vista Point

Take in the view before a fast downhill. You will need to brake!

Cross Wise Road

Take care here; it's a steep downhill and Wise has fast traffic.

Quick Right-Left through Ophir

Right on Ophir

Freeway frontage road.

Right on Taylor

Back through Newcastle

Stop again at the produce stand if you are so inclined.

Cross Intersection on Newcastle

Nice pleasant downhill.

Right on Brennans

Left on King

Right on Auburn Folsom

Right on Horseshoe Bar

Almost home now!

Pleasant circuit in Placer County. You can cut off the Ophir loop and make it about 28 miles.
