The way points of this bicycle route:
Stop for tricky intersection, watch especially for traffic from right.
Divided road ahead. Not enough room for cars to safely pass, shoulder is spoiled by large reflective bumps.
Bridge ahead. No shoulder to speak of.
Prepare for a climb over the Lafayette River on the Granby Street Bridge. Small shoulder on bridge.
Change to center lane to stay on Granby Street through split ahead.
Enter roundabout and exit to Colonial at first right.
Enjoy the waterfront view.
Enter roundabout and continue through on Gosnold.
Tricky merge ahead onto busy road.
Get ready for another bridge climb over the Lafayette. Medium-sized shoulder on bridge.
Right turn for a short strech on busy Little Creek Road here.
Enjoy the wide, low-traffic street. Won't find many like this in Norfolk.
Work your way over to left lane for turn ahead.
Bicycles usually don't trigger the sensor for the turn lane. If stuck waiting in light traffic, use your best judgement on how to proceed.
Same bridge, no shoulder this way either.
Again, beware of divided road, little passing clearance, and reflective road hazards on the otherwise-inviting shoulder.
