The way points of this bicycle route:
Starting at The Bakehouse Cafe, Moore St, Leichhardt, home of LBUG. Head West on Moore St.
Cross Balmain Rd using lights. A bit tricky but do a left right manouvre on green onto foot/cyclepath between High School and playing field.
R at Derbyshire Rd.
L at William St
Right at Hubert St.
L at Darley Rd. Watch for traffic.
Right at road to Blackmore Park. Quiet street next to City West Link. Watch for fast traffic on Darley Rd when turning.
Right on to path, goes under City West Link
L onto cycle path around the Bay. Watch for pedestriand ans fast cyclists shooting down Lilyfield Rd.
Bay Run shared path. Gets crowded at times. Path goes around the waterfront.
Watch for blind corner by the Rowing Club. Someone shhould cut the vegetation back!
R over bridge on narrow footway. Path widens ahead so be patient.
Cross road at refuge crossing.
Lights. Veer left then right into Kings Rd.
Right onto Queens Rd. Can be busy but does have bike lanes in peak hours. Some people prefer Lyons Rd. Will come back that way. Use footpath on right if traffic bothers you.
Road widens. Nice shoulder.
Squeeze point here on bend. Can take Sydney St to bypass this.
Concord Rd. Lights. Turn right then left immediately into Princess Av.
L at roundabout on Pomeroy St.
The right turn onto George St is at bottom of a steep hill so be careful. Be prepared to stop.
L at Victoria Rd
Underpass of Homebush Bay Drive.
Number of ways through park. Go for an explore. Some irritating steps and one way streets.
Footbridge over Benelong Rd
Ramp down to Sarah Durack Av
There is a Maccas here if you are hungry. Regroup outside the Stadium.
R at Edwin Flack Av
L at Hill Rd. Watch for traffic.
Get into right turn lane
R at Wing Pde
Path to underpass of M4.
Path joins Adderley St. Use road or there is a wide shared path for some reason all along here.
Cross Silverwater Rd with care. Not well designed for cyclists. They should have spent the money here rather than on the path on Adderley St. Watch the left slip lane.
Cross more slip lanes. Continue on Adderley St.
At end of Addderley a path crosses Duck Ck
Joins Martha St
R onto path, which goes over James Ruse Dr
Path continues under the elevated section of M4
R at Good St. Watch traffic when crossing or joining roads.
Have a look around or a coffee in the Mall or Church St. Continue on to Parramatta Park for a circuit.
There is a cycle circuit around the park
Head out of park here if going to Windsor via the Mulga Bill no 2 route along Darcy and Binnalong, or continue around.
Exit park. Start of Victoria Rd
R at Elizabeth St. No lights. Wait for gap in traffic. This avoids the James Ruse/Victoria Rd intersection.
R onto path. Goes under James Ruse.
Watch out for a short section of dirt

R on Victoria Rd. Use southern footpath if traffic bothers you

Under Silverwater Rd
There may be a diversion from here via Lindsay Av and Boronia St while they are reclaiming the land along the foreshore.
Rejoins road

R onto path.
Path continues. Not a road as shown on map.
Path goes through ferry car park. Typical!
Use footpath. Goes under Concord Rd.
R at Waterview Rd.
Keep speed up, steep hill ahead. Alternative easier gradient is up Douglas St to Phillips Rd then down Delange Rd
Right onto Pellisier. Road flattens out.
Vehicular ferry operates during peak hours, and on weekends after 10am.
Take Hilly St, which isnt. Or take a look at fnew oreshore path around Breakfast Point. Wangal Reserve is also worth a look.

R at Tripod St

Join Lyons Rd. Bike lane.
Watch for car doors past the golf course.
Roundabout. Take the lane.
R at William St. Or go up to next roundabout at Harris Rd if experienced in tricky merges etc

For a variation on the foreshore path, cross the City West Link at lights and continue on Mortley Av
Up this way for a bit of variety, and the bike path around the Bay is often crowded anyway

Roundabout. Watch for traffic on Darley Rd. Steep hill ahead, but only short. Bike route.
Cross Norton St. Continue up Allen St.
L at Deeeeeerbyshire Rd behind the High School.
L at Balmain Rd footpath. Use lights to cross to Moore St.
Back at Moore St Bakehouse Cafe. 50 km exactly!
