This is a fast and mostly flat sprint from Culver City to the Palisades with minimal hills until the final 1mile climb of Temescal at the end. THe Ballona Bike Path is spectacular, if you don't get mugged in the evening by the Culver City Boyz gang, which the LAPD has given up trying to police. Keep your wits about you between Sepulveda Blvd and Centinela, especially if you see five or more teenagers huddled together on the path. Getting to PCH from the bike path is kind of unpleasant, but the choice is between tourists on the beach walking right into oncoming bike traffic or taking your luck with the insane PCH drivers. by qma3x
