A large resort city in the Okanagan. Has everything that you would expect a big city to have.
A hippy town on the coast of Lake Okanagan. If you go for a visit off the KVR, be prepared for a huge ride up the hill back to the trail!
A tunnel blasted right through a rock cliff. One of the highlights of the KVR!

Take the detour route up here
A condemned tunnel. It is possible to get access inside but is inadvisable to enter. Passing through is impossible due to a cave-in in the centre. There is a 300m detour around the tunnel.

During construction of the Kettle Valley Railway, rock ovens were constructed along the track to make bread for hungry workers. The ovens are still here to this day!
This resort has tenting, showers and a restaurant.
This mountain park was devastated by a forest fire in August 2003. Although only a few years have passed, the forest is beginning to regenerate. The lack of trees provide spectacular views of the Okanagan.

A resort and a provincial campsite are located here. The provincial campsite charges $10/night and comes with firewood.Have plenty of water with you (4L per person). Your next opportunity for a water refill is in Beaverdell, 50 km away!

There are no utilities here. Just a big wooden sign with info on the KVR.
A small town with a gas station/deli. There is also a smoky hotel and a beautiful campsite, Zack's Campground one block from the town centre.

Paul Lautard's KVR rest stop is located here. He will come down on his ATV bring water He has hammocks and picnic tables available for tired cyclists. He also has a replica caboose museum.

Kettle River Recreation Area A provincial campsite with a warm river flowing through it.
A small town with a restaurant and two gas stations. There is also a campsite 200m north up Hwy 33 on the riverbank.
The end of the Carmi subdivision of the KVR. There is a museum at the train station dedicated to the rail history of the town. A campsite is down on the riverbank in the community park. It costs $10/night and you can innertube down the war waters of the West Kettle River.
