Holland Village to Changi, early weekend mornings
by sivasothi

The way points of this bicycle route:

Holland Village

Adam Road

Get ready for a climb! This early the climb is comfortable but be fast and alert for traffic filtering out of and into the PIE. Make sure you have bright lights, front and rear!

Adam Road junction with Adam Drive

Huffing and puffing over! Now to enjoy some fresh air courtesy of the forest!

Lornie Road Flyover

Its okay to ride up, just be alert!

Be prepared to filter right to the leftmost, right-turning lane!

Jalan Pemimpin

A much better and pleasant route than Bishan Street 21. Couple of mild slopes.

Jalan Binchang

Up the slope and right turn into this wide lane.

Bishan Road

Lots of lanes!

Bishan Road

Prepare to filter right; there are usually very few cars but be alert.

Ang Mo Kio Ave 10

The safe and pleasant detour into Serangoon Gardens, avoiding Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 and Lorong Chuan!

Ang Mo Kio St 44

Cheng San - Serangoon Gardens underpass

A little hazy here (will clarify later) but an underpass passes under the CTE into Serangoon Gardens! Don't slip on tiled floor!

Serangoon Garden Way

Up the slope, huff, puff!

Yio Chu Kang Road

Some delicate filtering required for a turn into Phillips Avenue. Make sure your bright lights are all on!

Chua Hoe Ave junction w/Parry Avenue

Be sure to turn in here, its pretty easy to forget and head straight down Chua Hoe and get more confused later!

Sandilands Road

This eventually ensures you will have an easy time filtering for a right turn into Tampines Road, much later!

Glasgow Road

Left turn here and look for Flower Road next!

Flower Road

Just follow the road all the way until it spits you out into Upper Serangoon Road - after a little climb!

Upper Serangoon Road

Lots of traffic even at 7am (if you started at 6am). Just make sure you filter as soon as you come out of Flower Road. Next, a right turn into Tampines Road.

Upper Serangoon Road/Tampines Road junction

Tampines Road

Traffic gets quieter about now...

Tampines Road

There is no more need to filter right into Old Tampines Road; its the only option at this point. The TPE entry for cars has been shifted to an earlier point and this entry up ahead has been sealed; so no more hazardous filtering here!

Old Tampines Road

Turns left into the industrial lane, its a new road and is wide and empty on weekends!

Tampines Ave 10

Be careful when joining traffic - heavy and fast traffic here.

Pasir Ris Dr 3 junction with Pasir Ris Walk

There could be an alternative, partly off road path through Pasir Ris Walk leading to Loyang Lane and Loyang Avenue.

Give way to pedestrian traffic - mosque and condo adjacent to park connector.

Pasir Ris Drive 3

Huff and puff up the slope

Changi Village

Dosai and prata shops
