Hold Your Water: A Trip to Loxahatchee Water Preserve

Okay so this is a pretty successful route with about 80% bike lane available. Departing FAU, there is an initial hill at the Glades overpass. Jog Road has an average shoulder the whole way to Atlantic Ave. Heading west on Atlantic I have to say thats a bit tight as in absolutely no shoulder and you are riding on a two-lane road with trucks and fast traffic, this occurs after the turnpike (underpass). 441 has a bike lane. The Loxahatchee Preserve on 120th says its $1 for pedestrians but I didn't stop/pay...maybe because it was early a.m.? Boynton Beach Blvd has a really cool rough asphalt section that is almost like cobbles about a mile or two before it intersects with Jog road. There is no overpass hill on Boynton. Fun and somewhat easy if there is no wind.by bobby_fishtrunks
