right on NW Connell
turns into Hornecker
right on Leisy
left on Wren
rt on Cornelius Schefflin; fast traffic
left on Roy Rd
left on NW Wilkesboro
rt on Hwy 47
merge onto Hwy 26. Wide shoulder, not to worry.
you CAN turn left and get onto the Banks-Vernonia trail here, but the road is washboard gravel, then the paved trail, then the Buxton trestle, which is not yet ridable, so a big gravelly dip; steep uphill on the other side. I'd stay on 26 if you don't have an MTB
right onto 47. You could have taken Fisher Rd, but it is an uphill. This is flatter.
