Population: 57,798 - Currently, the trail doesn't start here, but in Sageville, 3 miles north. However, there are plans to extend the trail to this point, as evident by the old railroad line. So for future purposes, we're going to include this future route.
Population: 203 - As of 4/12/07, this is where the Heritage Trail begins.
Population: 24 - Durango offers telephone service and a restaurant.
Population: 73 - A picnic shelter and restrooms are available at the park, but there is no drinking water. This is approx. the halfway point.
The only building left in this former village is a church.
The area was named in honor of Zephaniah Kidder, an early settler and one of the founders of Epworth.
Population: 1,580 - Epworth offers food and a seminary with tours and art gallery. Epworth is located 1.5 miles south of the Trail on Gun Club Road. Also located on Gun Club Road, between Epworth and Heritage Trail, is Centennial Ball Park with water and restrooms.
Population: 1,363 - Located 1 mile south of the trail. Exit at the highway overpass for food. Farley City Park offers restrooms and water. From Y13 turn left on 7th St. to 4th St. then right two blocks to 5th Ave.
Population: 4,043 - Currently the trail ends here at the "Toy Capital of the World", but there are plans to extend it westward. At the trailhead there is water, parking, picnic facilities and a campground. Attractions include: The Basilica of St. Francis Xavier, the Ertl Company as well as an outlet store, the National Farm Toy Museum and of course, the baseball field built for the film Field of Dreams.
