Bicycle Lanes begin here. They run the entire length of East Terrace.
There's a really nice bakery here - buy yourself a Kitchener Bun
The road is really wide here - easy riding
Sometimes theres broken glass at this intersection. Watch for buses pulling into the bus stop on the exit of the intersection. There's a Hungry Jacks here if you're still hungry after eating your Kitchener Bun earlier.
The bicycle lanes begin about here. They only operate in peak time but outside of those hours the parking demand is low anyway.
Still on a bicycle lane
Look out for cars merging across left to bypass the bridge, while you are merging right to get on the bridge.
The bridge begins. It is the only annoying hill on the whole ride. There are full-time bicycle lanes on the bridge, very good.
Brief downhill section ends begins going uphill again towards west terrace
For some silly reason the bicycle lane here runs left of the dedicated left hand turn lane. So watch for left turners turning across in front of you. Luckily since this is a popular route there's often other cyclists already waiting at the lights blocking the left turners. It's a very friendly intersection as far as cheery cycling commuters go!
Being on a bike you can turn left and go through the bollards that block 4-wheel vehicles. Watch for Peds they are not expecting a vehicle hooting through here and are all over the road
The pancake kitchen is here if you need breakfast. Sometimes there's a delivery van blocking the lane.
I just dart diagonally across Hindley Street. Not hard to do even in busy times.
Hoik a left onto the busy North Tce. Not hard to do as its so close to the lights and not many cars travel in the left lane
For me I'm at work now, bugger eh?! There is a pedestrian crossing at this location if you wish to get a train at the train station on the other side of North Terrace
