The way points of this bicycle route:
Start: New Roma Bakery, 18th & E Streets.
Takes the Blue Diamond connector trail across river to American River Trail.
If you decide to go counterclockwise instead, loop up to Northgate, go right for about 100 yards, then small right onto start of Ueda parkway going under Arden connector.
At Discovery Park, goes to short trail next to Garden Highway
Starts road section.
loses shoulder somewhere in here
This is new road through AeroPark not shown on most maps. Nothing out here, and very smooth pavement and nice bike lane
Elkhorn is busy but has ok bike lane
go through ped/bike-only gate
nice section for birding here, and usually no cars since blocked at Elkhorn
begins new-ish Ueda Parkway trail here. great birding especially in migratory season
connects briefly to connector, then get in left turn lane for northgate south. easier doing counter-clockwise
back over river
