The way points of this bicycle route:
start by riding across the George Washington Bridge over the Hudson River.
go West on 177th St
Right - Cabrini Blvd
Left - a very short ways, usually on the south sidewalk
Left - climb a sharply curving narrow ramp up to the south sidewalk of the George Washington Bridge
go across the Hudson River on the south sidewalk of the George Washington Bridge. Several short sharp turns along the way, continue to the end of the sidewalk
at end of GWB south sidewalk, Left on Hudson Terrace / rt 505 South. Some people choose to ride on the sidewalk along the east side of the road, which gets fairly wide after crossing the entrance to Fort Lee Historic Park. Riding on the road requires handling a Left turn across sometimes busy traffic in the midst of a steep downhill

Left - "river drive" in Palisades Interstate Park
(go underneath the George Washington Bridge)
bear Left at roundabout and climb up hill to continue route. (Or to visit a park alongside the river, bear right and go down)
Left at fork, and go underneath the Palisades Parkway, to take Alpine Approach Rd to its end at traffic light
Right - rt 9W North
Left - down to Sparkill
bear Right at bottom of hill onto rt 340 / Valentine Av
Right - Ferdon Av
(curve sharp Left, soon join Piermont Av)
(for a pretty side trip, turn right at traffic light and go east out to the end of the pier)

(go underneath the west end of the Tappan Zee bridge)
(Variation: to avoid a short steep climb later, but encounter more motor traffic, turn Left on Cornelison, Right on Broadway into the center of Nyack)
Left - Burd St (up steep-ish hill)
Right - Broadway
(food options on both Main St and Broadway)

can continue north beyond Nyack to (on non-wet days) some pleasant pretty riding alongside the Hudson river. (but lots of cyclists just turn around and go back after reaching Nyack and having a snack)

dirt path alongside the Hudson River -- not for bikes with narrow tires, and not when it's rained recently.
