The way points of this bicycle route:
Jump onto pavement/sidewalk (road is one way).
Cross onto citybound traffic lane's pavement/sidewalk
Cycle track starts here-ish. Go through the gate.
Either stay on path or jump onto the bus lane. It is easy to maintain 50kph+ on the road, apart from the short uphill after Centennial Ave, but this is normally negated by having to wait at the traffic lights at Orion Rd.
Bus lane starts here.
If in the bus lane and traffic is heavy, consider getting back onto the cycle/shared track here because there is no way to leave the road until the space station and the road is flat with a little uphill so it is hard to maintain a speed above 30-40kph. A few bus and taxi drivers think they own the lane and sometimes do the beepy beepy almost sideswipe thing.
Jump back onto the track here as it is uphill after the bridge and the road speed limit goes to 80kph.
