The way points of this bicycle route:
Careful crossing freeway exit and on ramps as drivers speed through crosswalks without looking.
Rough old concrete road with many potholes and deep cracks. May need to ride well in lane to avoid. Low traffic.
Steep climb on Ellsworth.
Path leading up to bridge is partially wooded and nice.
Keep downhill speeds in check as path is narrow and a little rough at plates over expansion joints. Tight fit passing opposite bike traffic.
Bike Path above car traffic so no worries crossing Airport way.
Short, steep uphill to Sandy. Cross at light, long wait for x-walk signal. Cross east again to reach 99th.
Merge with traffic at lights to avoid right hooks.
Get onto Skidmore before Cully to avoid backed-up, and dangerous Stop sign wait.
Watch carefully to cross Cully.
37th is concrete and broken up a bit like Evergreen Hwy.
Knott has light traffic in the morning, a bit heavier in the evening.
Flat wide road, good speed through this section.
Take lane at Russell and Vancouver to prepare for left at Flint.
Fast, gentle downhill
Merge with heavy bike traffic on multi-use path over bridge.
Slowdown and keep to right split of bike lane at end of bridge. Watch for bikes braking to take other left split.
All done, watch for trolley tracks.
