The way points of this bicycle route:
Start from the car park between the bmx track and the forest. there are toilets
Take the track down the side of the dam
Follow the track just back from the shore
We took the singletrack route along the shore. The tracks a fast and open with no technical elements
Nice cafe in town - does excelent food and reasonably priced for a (semi) rural town
the 4WD track along the edge of the forest is pretty rough with lots of fist sized stones
Along here you pass though an old rail tunnel - sort of eerie :-)
Took the road back from here - there is an off road route along the ridge. Should also point out that we're not locals and got stung by the heat in the early afternoon

Starting from the BMX track north of Ewen Maddock dam. Some nice flat fast singletrack down to Landsborough then a back via the disused rail line
