The way points of this bicycle route:
Ride STARTS at the Oval, public toilets and a car park are located there. There is no water on the route so take it with you.
Leave the Oval and cross Durras Dr into Durras Lake Rd
Turn left into Lakeside Dr
Pass Boomerang Ave on right
Stop at Boat Ramp to view the Lake. This is a Pristine waterway surrounded by National Park that is generally closed to the ocean.
Join the track that follows the reserve along the bank of the Lake past the Caravan Park.
Follow the track southwards between the dunes and the caravan park
Rejoin sealed road and head south
Rejoin Durras Lake Dr
Pass Lakeside Dr on the right
Turn left into Durras Rd
Turn left into the headland reserve for good views north and south
Exit reserve and turn left along Dilkera St
Pass Allambee St on right. Follow Dilkera St down the hill
Turn left into Banyandah St
Pass Corilla St on right. The General Store with coffee shop and takeaway is in that street.
Turn left down boat ramp access road, with Murramarang Resort on your right
Cycle on to beach for the view north of Beagle Bay. Then retrace route back to Banyandah St
Turn left into Banyandah St proceed past Murramarang Resort entrance and take left fork, at the start of the gravel roads, out to Wasp Headland. Old Coast Rd is the right fork.
At Car Park at Wasp Headland continue along the track that heads north east.
There are great views north and south from Wasp Headland. Retrace route to Car Park.
At car park retrace route back to Old Coast Rd interesction
Take sharp turn left into Old Coast Rd
There are tracks to beaches and headlands along this next section of the ride that can be enjoyed as a diversion. Otherwise stay on the Old Coast Rd and follow signs to North Head
Richmond Beach Car Park on left, follow the sign to Nth Head up the hill
Oakey Beach Car Park straight ahead. Follow road to the right
Turn left to head to Nth Head. If a shorter route is desired you can turn right and head back to Durras at this point without visiting North Head.
Follow the road to the left to Nth Head Camping Area. Road on the right is signposted as No Through Rd
The route from here to Nth Hd is diagrammatic as the new road does not show on the map or aerial photograph
North Head Car Park and Camping area. Toilet in Camping area. Viewing platform at southern end of car park. Great view of the entrance to Batemans Bay and the Tollgates. Return from this point back up Nth Head Rd
Bear left at top of hill to follow North Head Rd. The road on the right is the one you travelled to here from Durras
At 1.4km from previous intersection Turn right into Skid Ridge Rd (not signposted). Do not take steep down hill road to the left
Do not take unamed track on right
Do not take unnamed track on left.
Turn right at foot of hill. Straight ahead goes up a steep pinch.
Proceed straight ahead when entering the urban area to Village Road
Turn left along Village Rd. OR turn right to the General Store in Corilla St for coffee before returning to the START of the ride
At the northern end on Village Rd join the shared pathway down the hill, across the creek to the Oval Car Park and the START of the ride
