The way points of this bicycle route:

Tomakin

Start of ride at Intersection of Ainslie Pde and George Bass Dr at Tomakin

Turn left into Bevian Rd. This is a narrow dirt road in poor condition in places.

Rosedale rural

Bear Left into Burri Rd and commence climb up hill for 1.3km

At top of hill good views of the coast. Ivy Pl on left

Mc Bride Cl on left

Malua Bay rural

Ridge Ave joins on the left. Bear Right along Ridge Ave

Ridge Rd on left. Bear left and remain on sealed Rd

Good views of ocean from this ridge

Surfbeach rural

Dunns Creek Rd on left

Surfbeach Ave on right. The ride continue straight ahead. However if it is desired to shorten the ride, proceed down Surfbeach Ave to water front reserve and coffee shop

Road now becomes a narrow gravel road with a short section of seal past the houses

Dog Trap Road on left, proceed straight ahead

Catalina Rural

At this sharp righht hand bend look for gravel track off to the right. It is not easy to see as it drops away from the road. Turn right down this gravel track

The Council concrete water reservoir is on your right. Pass around to the left and join the track that proceeds down hil. This is steep and badly scoured, proceed with care

Arrive at Urban area and proceed down the sealed Heron Road.

Gannett Pl on left

Country Club Dr on right

Albatross Rd on left

Turn left into Country Club Dr up the hill

Sea St on right

Traffic lights at intersection with Beach Rd. Cross Beach Road and join the shared pathway heading to the right (south)

Cross Hanging Rock Pl

Batehaven

Turn left at Corrigan Reserve at access Road and follow this road around the reserve, along the beach front, back to Beach Rd at the traffic lights

Cross Beach Rd and proceed straight ahead into Edward Rd

Corrigan Cres on left

Turn left into Joseph St up the hill

Bear lefty at top

Turn left and then right into Wattle Cr

Turn right into Calton Rd

Turn left into Batehaven Rd to foot of hill

Turn right at Beach Rd and hug the sea side shoulder.

Cross over Beach Rd at the approach to the Concrete bridge across Short Beach Creek and use footpath to cross the brige

Remain on pathway past Caravan Park and Sunshine Bay School

Sunshine Bay

Turn right into Sunshine Bay Rd. This is a dual carriageway. Take care with traffic. Proceed to southern side of Sunshine Bay Rd and join shared pathway heading west

At Hume Rd turn left stay on shared pathway for as long as it lasts, then proceed on road

Thomas Mitchell Cr on right

Wentworth Ave on left

Wills Cr on left

Wills Cr on left

Burkes Way on left

Cook Ave on right

Surfbeach

Turn left into Explorers Way

Turn right on to Beach Rd. This is a busy road and the safest route is to walk your bike past the shops then cross over to the ocean side of the road and enter the foreshore reserve. There is a coffee shop here and another in the shopping complex.

Coffee Break at Surfbeach Foreshore Reserve. Then return to Beach Rd and head south.

Turn right into Surfbeach Ave

Commence climb to Ridge Rd at top of hill

Tasman St on right

Pacific Rd on right

Eric Fenning Dr on right

George Bass Dr on right

Kauzal Cres on right

Rural

Turn Right at Dunns Creek Rd. Follow this road to Tomakin Mogo Rd.

Turn left into Tomakin Mogo Rd and continue to George Bass Dr

Turn Left into George Bass Dr
