Eudunda is 100km north of Adelaide. It is a grain growing area on the edge of the ranges looking out on to the plains that extend to the Murray River. This route is undemanding and pleasant, through beautiful farmland and with great views. Julia Road runs along a ridge to the north with a nice downhill run down Cutting Road into Point Pass. You can see the golden steeple of Point Pass Lutheran Church as you descend and you will pass this church as you ride back towards Eudunda. The southern loop of this route also takes you along a ridge giving spectacular views. Look out for the old stone cairn a few km out of Eudunda on Tablelands Road. Leake Pass Road takes you along a descent with some good vegetation and gullies running out to the plains. There are a number of stone ruins along the way. This ride is recommended in spring when the wheat fields are ripening. Eudunda has a good pub and community club where you can get dinner.by quandongpie
