Elliott Bay Bike Trail

The way points of this bicycle route:

Seattle

The trail begins here, at the bend in the road. There has been construction on a new sculpture park here lately, but follow the railing next to the water to enter the park.

Turn sharp right and head over a wee bridge. Watch for peds!

Peds go left, wheels go right.

Large sculptures to the left.

Motor vehicle crossing for the grain elevators. Selcom used. There is now a pedestrian bridge over the tracks near here, though you can't see it in the satellite pics yet. Note the design -- it's supposed to be a DNA molecule! (Paid for by Amgen, a nearby biotech company.)

Public restrooms, a water fountain and a fishing pier await you here.

The construction visible in the satellite pics has been completed, so don't worry about dust!

Shared path now - wheels on the right, peds on the left.

Take a right and go over the bridge if you want to get across busy 15th Ave NW.

Driveway crossing - watch for cars!

Sign announces hours of trail, and states that it may be closed at sudden notice by the railroad for security reasons.

Railroad crossing - careful to cross at a right angle!

Yikes, it's a bit narrow here

Cool, an overpass just for bikes! (And peds) Watch for other trail users on the way down the other side of this slight hill

See all the imported cars to your left, just unloaded from the boat.

Commuters may want to take a right here on 20th Ave W for points north. Keep going for a deadend next to the Sound.

Road to the right is 21st Ave West

Pass under the Magnolia Bridge

End of the line. There's a little park across the street here. Continue down the road and there's a small marina. Just past there at the end of West Marina Place is a small waterfront park - the perfect place to catch a sea breeze!
