The way points of this bicycle route:
I'm starting these routes from the intersection of Flat Shoals Avenue and Glenwood Avenue.
When you make the turn onto McPherson be aware that the intersection confuses drivers from all directions. It's an easy enough turn to make but watch the other vehicles. Get into the right lane immediately after the turn.
After making the right you need to start immediately planning your lane changes for the left turn at Memorial Drive. It isn't difficult, but it's easy to get stuck too far to the right if you wait too long for the lane changes.
Watch the merge here. It's usually very light traffic but Howell and Arkwright merge abruptly.
This is what makes this route so nice. From here it's a straight shot into the MARTA station parking lot, with very light traffic even during rush hour.
There are a short set of steps leading to the MARTA station. I normally just carry my bike up the stairs, but you can always just go around the block and enter on Seaboard Avenue.
