The way points of this bicycle route:
Ferry Landing. Take Main Street up to 9th Ave S. This is a climb but gradual. Turn left at 9th Ave S.
Turn left on 9th Ave N. The road is downhill. (Nice time to stretch and rest.)
Puget Drive. Slight climb, you will need to turn left. Watch for traffic as you turn onto Olympic View Drive. This is a very nice ride, scenic with some rise.
Still on Olympic View Drive. Nice homes and winding turns as you approach Snohomish County Park.
This is nice rolling along towards Snohomish County Park. It's especially cool in the mornings, and a nice respite in the afternoon. Shady area.
Slight rise out of Perronville. No bike lane, sharing road with cars. You'll approach some road construction. Beware of traffic.
There is road construction from 180th St SW on through to around 170th Place SW. Be careful as there is not much room for bikes and cars.
You're through the construction and rolling past the high school. Gentle rise here as you approach 52nd Ave W. We're going to be turning left here.
Intermittent bike lanes through here..
There is construction from the interchange between 52nd Ave W and Beverly Park Road. The road is actually closed, but you can take the sidewalk to Picnic Point Road. Be careful with traffic at the interchange.
Gentle rise as you approach the Speedway. There is a bike lane all the way through. Be very careful at the light. I would not stay in the bike lane but to the left a bit. So cars can see you, if you stay in the bike lane, they might turn in front of you. Be careful here!
Gentle fall here, you get some momentum all the way through to Airport Road.
Be careful at the intersection here. Again, I stay out of the bike lane to make sure that cars see me going straight through.
Holly Drive is nice riding. Wide bike lane, low traffic. Watch for pop-outs. We'll be making a left at the light onto 4th Ave W. It is a fast light so be careful.
You'll go under the Boeing Fwy after passing through the intersection at Casino road. Again another place to watch for cars making a right.
Pretty much downhill on Hardeson Road. There are 2 options for you. 1. turn left on 75th Street and climb up to Seaway Blvd. I do this in the morning, saves about a mile. 2. My route is for Merrill Park. I usually come back this way to avoid traffic on Seaway Blvd.
The climb is much less here on Merrill Creek Pkwy. At the top, I cross over Seaway Blvd into the gate there.
Fluke Park
