Edinburgh to North Berwick and back (Edinburgh Masonic yearly charity cycle)
by AmFaeEmbra

The way points of this bicycle route:

START

from EMC

Onto Leith Walk

Easiest cut over to London Road

Kings Road roundabout

Through Portobello

Now into Joppa

into Musselburgh

by-pass centre

iffy pavement going onto bridge

back onto the main road

First left at roundabout

Into "The Pans"

Into Port Seton

"The Bents" (don't ask) - parking, picnicing and a BOG!

Into Aberlady

deceptive corner!!

Look at the trees behind the wall and figure out how much wind they get round here

Not a nice bend to come off at - clipped another bike's wheel here once, ouch

A bit of a grind going up

Fire Brigade training school on your right

Into North Berwick

Fork Off to the left and freewheel from here on in

Chippy, Ice Cream shop and Pub within three seconds of each other. And now start back home.

Forgot to mention - those who think they're in the know call this place "Gillin" - paarp!

Easy peasy going back, eh? But this is normally where you start to hit ten miles of head-wind.

Wave to the jockeys - race course on your right.

Detour through the town centre to hit Luca's Ice Cream - to carbo-load so you don't bonk going back up London Road of course!

Greggs the bakers on your right for more carbo-loading in case Luca's had sold out

End at EMC

Heaven! Get the beers in
