sharp Left - Potic Mountain Rd (starts up steep hill, then long climb) - (to its end)
Straight Across Schoharie Turnpike, continue on Potic Mountain Rd
Left - High Hill Rd (to its end)
Left - rt 81 West
quick Right - Medway-Earlton Rd (sometimes called "Peat Beds Rd") . . . [food at intersection]
Left - All Peat Beds Rd
Right - Honey Hollow Rd
bear Left (pass by East Honey Hollow Rd), continue on Honey Hollow Rd to its end
Right - Grapeville Rd / Greene county rt 26
Left - Alcove Rd (turn comes on a downhill)
bear Right (pass by Sunset Hill Rd)
sharp Right - Ringwald Rd, goes down hill, soon becomes Shady Lane
becomes Greene county rt 51 (pass by Sodom Rd) - later goes down one or two very steep hills
bear Left (pass by Roberts Hill Rd)
Straight (pass by Greene county rt 54) continue on Greene county rt 51 (to its end)
Left - rt 9W North
[Variation: to visit the Coeymans Landing gazebo on the Hudson River, continue straight north on rt 9W for 2.9 miles, Right - rt 143 for 1.4 mile thru Ravena to its end, Right - rt 144, soon Left to Hudson River + Coeymans gazebo. Then continue south on rt 144 to New Baltimore to rejoin main route -- (not checked by us since 2006)]

(pass by River Rd, which might be marked as rt 61) . . . soon . . . sharp curve Left (pass by Church St + church + post office), continue on rt 144 north.
sharp Right - Main. Turn comes on a downhill. It might be marked as Greene county rt 61, and Main St starts downhill.

section C: South Cairo to New Baltimore.
It's one section of a loop around eastern Greene county. The full loop is around 75 miles and hilly (4400 vertical feet). It offers quiet farms and houses, the four pavilions by the shores of the Hudson River, changing views of the great wall of the Catskills.
