The way points of this bicycle route:
Follow the footpath to the start , Facilities in Park. This route follows the rail trail which is clearly signed. Minor discrepancies are due to my errors. Google distances are not precise but give a good idea.
Start east of the Mitchell River Clearly signposted.

Nicholson River Bridge sealed surface ends here. Surface now gravel with a few sandy patches.
Water and food is only available at Bruthen and Nowa Nowa. You must be self sufficient

Watch for traffic crossing the Great Alpine Road

Great place for a rest. Nice park. shops and faciulities in the township.
Again care crossing the Buchan Rd
steady up hill on a good surface
Great ride through tall trees. Look for the wildlife.
State Forest all the way to Nowa Nowa First half gently uphill second half gently down hill . Watch for the sandy spots.

Look out for The Large Tressle Bridge - Stoney Creek.
The trail detours around the roads to cross Boggy Creek. Extreme care here as main road upgrade is underway with a specific railtrail passage. Can be confusing while construction. You need to cross Boggy Creek on the highway to see the extension to Orbost
Watch for the chicanes on the extension to Orbost
This is a long section without access to food or water. Be prepared especially in warm weather.

Great ride through the back of Newmerella down the cutting through remnant rain forest.
Extension trail to Orbost almost completed. Follow the trail or Simply follow the roads into town.
Cross on the pedestrian bridge. The new trail clearly shows the bridege access
Follow trail back of park to the Snowy river, Turn right into town
Forest Park Actual distance is 101 kilometres. Feels like 110km.
