The way points of this bicycle route:
Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass (DUMBO) has cobblestone streets, and 19th century brick buildings galore. Grimaldi's pizza (nee Patsy's) is on Front St, near the Brooklyn Bridge. The Fulton Ferry state park is my favorite spot in all of NYC.
The bridge has a bike path, but some tourists like to wander, so watch out for peds. This is the only hill on the ride--you'll break a sweat.
