The way points of this bicycle route:
I rode the pedestrian path here. Didn't seem all that safe, would ride the street in the future.
Somewhere along here I pulled in behind a guy cruising along at a fast clip on a roadbike -- clearly an athlete. After a friendly warning I tucked in behind him.
This is about where the guy I was drafting totally left me behind -- smoked me good.
Someplace along here another guy smoked me -- yellow jersey and a rode bike, went by too fast for me to say hello.
briefly tucked in with a group of 3 riders who were clipping along very well.
Left the 3 riders as they went left.
Friendly commuter reminded me about the locks here. Duh.
Tucked in behind another guy on a cross bike. Pulled ahead of him to break the wind (ha, I said break wind!) for him a bit later.
Turning off Gillman for the locks.
Walked through the locks here. No choice! Chatted with Steve (Geographer a the UW).
Steve convinced me to ride up 32nd to 70th. Nice chat with him.
First bit of the hill is steep on 32nd, but it levels off pretty quickly -- this is a good route, not much traffic.
Nice ride through the park!
