The way points of this bicycle route:
Let's start here. This route is suitable for people riding from Derrimut, Deer Park or nearby.
Turn left at Middle Rd. It's an unsigned dirt road not suitable for wet weather or road bikes. Alternatively, Continue down Mt Derrimut Rd to Bliss Dr (signed Swan Dr), and come up Fitzgerald Rd.
There's a locked gate here, but you can go around the fence.
Turn left onto Fitzgerald Rd.
Go under the overpass and follow the Western Ring Path north. It's safer and nicer than Fitzgerald Rd.
Cross Forest St.
Cross the creek and follow the creek path east, behind tumbledown old houses.
Endter Burnewang St, it's quiet and safe.
Cross Anderson Rd and find the path that runs between the Church and the park.
Cross the pedestrian bridge (steps) and continue through the Sunshine business district.
Devonshire Rd is great for bikes. Nice and wide and not very busy.
Cross Ballarat Rd. It's too bike-unfriendly to ride on. Detour instead down Mitchell St, which now has a bike lane. :)

Double back up onto Footscray Rd (Docklands Hwy) to go to the Docklands / New Quay precinct and lower CBD.
